Solutions
Overview of POLWAX instruments for measuring, recording and monitoring temperature, humidity, differential pressure, air quality and other environmental parameters in industrial and commercial settings.
Cleanroom Differential Pressure Monitoring
Measure, display and alarm on the pressure difference between controlled rooms and adjacent areas, and send values to BMS, PLC or remote monitoring using POLWAX differential pressure transmitters.
The Challenge — Keeping air moving in the right direction
Cleanrooms need a defined pressure relationship with neighbouring rooms so air moves from cleaner to less clean areas. Doors, filter loading and ventilation changes can disrupt that balance. Pressure differences are small, so instruments must resolve low ranges, display values locally and warn staff when the relationship is lost.
- Continuous room-to-room pressure difference indication
- Local alarm when the pressure relationship is not maintained
- Values available to BMS, PLC or remote monitoring for records
- Related conditions such as temperature and humidity
The POLWAX Solution — Measure, indicate, alarm and integrate
DPT series transmitters measure the difference between two points through 3/16" tubing, show it in Pa or mmWC and pass it on in the required format.
- Measure: low, bi-directional ranges from 0–10 mm WC on the DPT20 and DPT30
- Indicate: local reading in Pa or mmWC, set with front keys or, on the DPT50 WM, via USB
- Alarm: inbuilt buzzer on DPT20 and DPT30 alarm versions; relay option on the DPT30
- Integrate: 4–20 mA, 0–10 V and RS485 Modbus RTU to BMS, PLC or the CloudWAY gateway
How It Works — From the room to your monitoring system
- Pressure taps: tubing connects the cleanroom and reference area to the transmitter's push-on 3/16" ports
- Transmitter: measures the difference and shows it locally in Pa or mmWC
- Local alarm: alarm versions sound a buzzer; the DPT30 relay can switch an external signal
- Signal output: 4–20 mA, 0–10 V or RS485 Modbus RTU, depending on model and order code
- Monitoring: values go to BMS, PLC or SCADA, or via a CloudWAY gateway over WiFi, Ethernet or GSM
- Note: an RHT100 in the same room can send temperature and humidity over the same RS485 Modbus RTU network
Key Benefits — Why use POLWAX for cleanroom pressure
- Bi-directional ranges: DPT20 and DPT30 measure reversals of the pressure relationship
- Alarm at the room: buzzer versions alert staff on site without a remote system
- Flexible integration: analogue, relay and RS485 Modbus RTU options
- Calibration certificate: supplied with DPT20, DPT30, DPT50 WM and RHT100
- Complete room picture: pressure plus temperature and humidity via RHT100 or DPH100 WM
- Remote monitoring: CloudWAY sends values over WiFi, Ethernet or GSM
Industries & Use Cases
- Pharmaceutical and biotech cleanrooms: room-to-room pressure, airlocks, controlled production
- Laboratories and research facilities: controlled labs needing a defined pressure relationship
- HVAC and air handling: filter loading, fan and airflow monitoring
- Building automation: pressure values for BMS ventilation control and records
Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Monitoring
POLWAX connected dataloggers, USB loggers, freeze indicators and the CloudDASH360 dashboard record and track temperatures for sensitive materials in lab refrigerators, freezers, ultra-low storage, cold rooms and shipments.
Monitoring Challenges — Temperature-sensitive materials need a dependable record
- Complete temperature records: continuous history for every unit, room and shipment, available as a report
- Visibility of excursions: knowing when a limit was crossed, ideally in time to act
- Many storage points: facilities often hold materials across many units and locations
- Conditions in transit: shipments, including dry-ice consignments, need their own record from dispatch to arrival
The POLWAX Approach — The right type of monitoring for each point
- Connected monitoring: CLIMA dataloggers send readings over WiFi, GSM or Ethernet to CloudDASH360 for remote viewing and alarms
- Reusable USB logging: PTD50 / PRH50 and PTE50 / PTE90 record locally and produce PDF or CSV reports over USB
- Single-use for shipments: PTRANS loggers travel with the goods; the TD90 version targets dry-ice shipments
- Freeze indication: PolSENSE shows √ or × to indicate freeze exposure
How It Works — Connected monitoring (CLIMA + CloudDASH360)
- Measure: internal or external sensors on 1, 2 or 4 channels
- Record & display: colour touch-screen; password-protected configuration
- Transmit: data sent at set intervals over WiFi, GSM or Ethernet
- Review & alert: dashboard, SMS and email alarms
How It Works — Standalone USB logging (PTD50 / PRH50 · PTE50 / PTE90 · PTRANS)
- Configure: set interval, start mode and alarm limits in Polwax Config
- Record: LED shows green (OK) or red (alarm)
- Connect: plug into a computer USB port
- Report: PDF and/or CSV report generated
Key Benefits
- From storage to shipment: connected, reusable, single-use and freeze-indicator products from one supplier
- Ultra-low coverage: probes to −90 °C; Pt100 inputs to −100 °C on CLIMA T models
- Remote alarms: CloudDASH360 alerts by dashboard, SMS and email
- Ready-made reports: USB loggers output PDF or CSV; CLIMA adds XLSX
- Protected configuration: CLIMA settings require a password
- Certificates supplied: CLIMA and RHT100 include calibration certificates; PTD50, PTE and PTRANS include test certificates
